Flying info for December 7th and 8th
Flying on Saturday only. It’s looking like a good day although a tad windy. Instructor contact is 0221 053 967.
General Notes
- If we’re flying and if you’re coming along, send a txt to the contact number and let us know what time you intend to be there (and how long you can stay for). Numbers may be limited, so first in, first served. We plan the day based on the number of messages we get, so if we get no messages we won’t plan anything :-).
- Please don’t try to make a booking on the morning of the day you want to fly. The instructor for the day will already have planned the day based on the forecast demand.
- Please don’t plan on being able to contact us during a flying day. Large parts of the airfield are mobile blackspots and besides, we don’t txt and fly
- If you haven’t confirmed with the relevant instructor that we’re flying, please don’t just turn up. We don’t want you to waste a trip.
- If you see that we’re flying, but haven’t made a booking the night beforehand, please don’t just turn up. Priority on the day will be given to people who have booked, so you may end up waiting all day for a free slot and that’s frustrating. We don’t want you to be frustrated.
- If you’ve contacted us but then can’t make it for any reason, don’t worry. Just send a txt to let us know, then come along again when you’re able.
- If we’re not flying due to a shortage of instructors, don’t despair. You can always fly with the Wellington Gliding Club that also operates out of the same airfield. The contact details are on their website.
